Before joining Karate School I went around to about 9 different Martial Arts centres in the Illawarra and jumped in to their classes to see what they had to offer. I have got to be honest with you, I was less than impressed until I went to Karate School. Actually a mate from work told me about Karate School and said I would be crazy not to go and jump into some free classes.

From start to finish these guys just had it all. I was blown away with the knowledge, skill and ability that the Head Instructor Sensei Bob has. The beauty about Karate School is they definitely teach no nonsense Karate, its raw self defence and it's a smart style too.

One of the best things I liked was that I wasn’t training with kids. The other local centres they have small classes where adults train with kids except for these guys. At Karate School, kids train with kids, teenagers with teenagers and adults with other adults and their classes are large so you get to train with a variety of people. I have met some really great people there and all of the students are there to learn and help each other. It's a great stress relief, fitness work out and I feel so much better within myself.

Our son Luke (aged 6) came to us 12 moths ago asking if he could learn Karate so he can be like all of the Superhero’s on TV. After watching him trying to do it on his sister Jade, I thought it was time to teach him the right skills in a safe environment. Karate School was the obvious choice!! It was very welcoming, professional and cost effective. What can I say? Within 12 months, Luke has grown in confidence, gained new self defence skills, improved his coordination and has now learnt self discipline, oh and did I mention that his sister is happy also not having her little brother practice on her. Karate School caters for couples, families and kids in a safe, knowledge packed and most of all friendly and relaxed environment. Both my wife and I are high school teachers and both found it difficult to keep up with the demand of living our careers and at the same time balancing health, fitness and our family needs.

Karate School was the best fit for us as we could watch our children train before our class and support their commitments. As a family it allowed us to have a common family interest where we can support, assist understand each others need while at the same time we can individually follow our own journey.

The best part so far would have to be the pay off when the whole family passed and received their new belts and graded together. The photo wall is sure to be filled with future memories as we all work towards our black belts and beyond. You’ve got to come and experience Karate School, it’s a safe family environment with a fully qualified team of professionals that will make your martial arts future a memorable one. You definitely will not be disappointed and will be glad to be apart of it all.

Karate School to us is about learning, fitness and all while having a little bit of fun. It has taught my children all of these and so much more.

We would truly like to thank Sensei Bob and Sempai Nat for all of the hard work they put in. We put our son Sam into Karate School to help develop his confidence and self discipline skills. Sam only does Karate 2 nights per week and would do it 5 nights if I let him. He has learnt so much and is now a more confident boy who is focused and determined in EVERYTHING that he does including school work! Sensei Bob and Sempai Natalie are the most kind hearted, caring people who are very loving to their students but can also be firm if need.
